Is your restaurant family friendly?
Absolutely! We have a dedicated kids room to keep the little ones busy as well as a kids menu.
Do you have vegetarian, vegan , or gluten free options?
Yes we do, see our full menu here. We have a range of menu items suitable for vegan and vegetarian diets including pasta’s, salads, burgers and sides. If you’re gluten free some of our suitable offerings include our Steaks, Grilled Chicken & Salmon. Just ask your server for our Allergen Safe menu on arrival.
Can you accomodate dietary restrictions or allergies?
Yes we can, we have a variety of options that may be suitable for guests with dietary restrictions. Send us a message, or call ahead to ensure we can cater to your needs.
Is there parking available?
We have limited parking available on site, however there is plenty of on street parking available.
Can we bring our own wine (BYO)?
We are not licensed for BYO. We have a wonderful selection of local wines and beverages available for purchase on site.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes we do! You can purchase gifts cards online here or from the Taradale Restaurant.
Is your restaurant wheel chair accessible?
Yes it is, the downstairs is easily accessible for wheel chair users & we have a service lift that can assist guests who will have difficulty using the stairs.
How can I book your function room?
Do you cater for Halal?
Yes we do. Our chicken & Beef are halal. We recommend you alert your server of your preferences so we can ensure to use separate cooking utensils for your food.
Is the upstairs restaurant wheelchair accessible?
Yes it is, we have a service elevator available to assist wheel chair users, prams and other guests who may find the stairs difficult.

Do you have a set location, or do you move around?
We have a truck located at 601 Frederick St, Mahora open Tuesday – Sunday. Our other trucks move around, you can find where we will be cooking by clicking here.
How can I book the Rib Truck for an event?
What kind of food do you serve?
We Specialise in Flame Grilled Ribs, Home-made Burgers, Spicy Chicken Wings, Steaks and more. To see our truck menu click here.
Do you cater to dietary restrictions from the truck?
We have option suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and can often cater to gluten free diets. However due to the nature of our food trucks kitchens we can’t guarantee the absence of trace gluten, nuts, soy, dairy, eggs or other allergies.

Do you accept card payments at the food truck?
Yes we do. We accept all NZ based cards & always have payWave available.
What happens if it rains?
Our Mahora Store is open rain or wind. Generally we will soldier on regardless of the weather, but in the event of a serious weather event – we’ll keep you updated via social media & our website!
What types of events do you cater?
We cater for ALL types of events! Weddings, Parties, Work-do’s, second Weddings, Events, Corporate Shindigs, Celebrations, third Weddings… you name it, we’ll cater it.
How far in advance should I book catering?
The sooner the better! We have more than one truck available, and can cater for more than one event in a single day. However we’d hate to disappoint you because a date is booked out!
Do you offer custom menu’s for events?
We’re more than happy to customize a menu just for you. We have a few menu options available to be viewed here.
Do you provide service staff for events?
We can provide service staff at an extra cost. Download our latest Hire Information Pack here for more info.
Can you cater at a venue of my choice?
Absolutely, we just need to make sure our trucks can safely make it to you location. A site visit may be required! Common obstacles that can make things difficult are low hanging tree’s, narrow driveways, low gutters/overhanging’s, steep hills, off roading.
Do you offer drop-off catering or full service catering?
Both! We can drop off pre-prepared meals for smaller groups or bring the Rib Truck to you. We also have a function room at the Taradale restaurant that can hold 80 people!

Do you provide tables, chairs or dinnerware?
When catering with one of our Rib Trucks we provide the utensils to eat off and with. But tables & chairs are on you. At the restaurant we provide all of the above!
